When it was time for my son to start solid foods I was so excited to get out our brand spanking new highchair. As a first time rookie parent, I thought "why do we need to bother with these safety straps?", they seemed nothing more than a nuisance... a waste of time. So what did I do? I cut them off! Fast forward three months later and it was then that I realized that my now 9 month old could get himself into a precarious standing position, and maybe cutting off those straps was not such a great idea after all.

With my second baby I was so tired of worrying that she could fall head first out of the highchair so I decided it was time to look for something new.
